This is a tri-color LED with separate red, green and blue LEDs inside. Since it is a diffused RGB LED, the colours will mix instead of appearing as 3 distinct colours. Common anode means that you connect the power pin to 5V and then the other three legs (one leg per colour) can be controlled by digital HIGH or LOW inputs, or use PWM to fade and swirl the colours together.
